Howling Coyotes method

Os,
It is fairly common belief among callers, that the higher pitched howls sound like younger coyote and may be less likely to intimidate the less aggressive coyotes who hear it. It is my own belief, that you will call more of the older coyotes with howling techniques anyway. Using higher pitched, non aggressive sounding howls does sound like a good idea though. The "Domain" howl in the demo link was made with my own voice and is about as high pitched as I can get. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Rich thank you so much for posting these howl links it helsg a great deal to be able to hear wat sound i am wanting to make.

Well I haven't been able to hear a damn one of Rich's howls and it's really pissin me off!! lol It says something like *system cannot find resource specified* Help guys, what am I doing wrong? I really wanna hear em. Larry

Doggin coyotes,
E mail me at cronkcalls@aol.com and I will send you a few sounds attached to my reply. You might also want to consider downloading another media player. WinAmp3 and Quicktime are working for me on most boards.

Rich, I downloaded WinAmp and was able to hear em ALL. Great job of howling and thanks for getting me straightened out. Look forward to more. Larry

Someone asked a little earlier in this thread about using high pitched lonesome howls. I made a recording of one version of my own high pitched lonesome howl. http://www.predatormastersforums.com/younglonesome.wav

If you don't sound exactly like the demo's here, please don't worry about it. The coyotes won't care at all, and will still respond. I have been trying to convince folks not to read too much into coyote language. Keeping it simple works, and if it ain't broke then why fix it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi Rich, I screwed up on my last post, I wasn’t trying to be facetious, meant to say model. Do you make more then one model and if so which one were you using to demonstrate the sounds that you presented?

Chuck,
The domain howl and the cronk challenge were done with my own vocal cords. A couple of other howler sounds on here were done with my own personal howler, while others were done with howler from off the shelf which had not been sold yet.

With making sounds so close to a coyote and being your own vocalization you better be careful, they will be checking up on your DNA. Thanks, Chuck Buster
P.S. You don't happen to feel real weird when the moon is full do you?

Geeeeeezzz! I tried to copy some of these great howls to a cd so I cold listen and practice in my truck on the way to work.
No way, I thought my puter was gonna blow up. Didn't mean to do anything wrong.
Thanks for the sounds Mr. Cronk, I wasn't trying to steal them.
Carl

Those recordings are really great!

Rich, how did you get a fighting-cock to howl like that, and what kind of rooster is it?

I've never thought of using a chicken to make a coyote howl. Very innovative, Rich!

Hello Rich, I 'm new to the coyote hunting and all I got to say is thank you..... Now I at least know what they should sound like...
