I have never ordered from Midway so I can not comment on them. I do think if you want to vent that is fine and most people will understand that. I think you lost alot of support, and respect, when you started attacking Larry. (with caps /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)

Man, I Go Out And Mow My Grass, Come In To Relax And Look What I Find. Are We Gonna Chew Our Own Foot Before This Is Over. I Think Skeets Point Has Been Made. Others Have Made Thier Points, I Am Not Sure What All Those Points Are Except Something About Capitalization, Whatever That Is.

Lets Let This One Die. Somebody Ask A Which Is Better Question.
 
here it is guys! i am extremely unhappy with midway. i see those foney commericals were larry is out in the plant helping out. they claim 99% of there orders ship the same day. that has never happened to me. i have placed a total of seven different orders through midway. only 1 was treated properly. the last 3 orders have been a total mess. this is my favorite site and i used to think quite highly of you people, and still do some of you. but i have had a string of bad luck the past couple weeks and it finally has come to a head. and when i do express my self to you people that i used to think so highly of you attack me and point out all of my sortcommings and them rub them in like i am some piece of sh-t. well thats fine i guess i cant change the way you feel about me. one thing for sure is that you people have made my day even worse! thanks friends. lee

I do beleive at some point the backorder forces affect us all, but that being said the vendors are all out to make money. So if they could I am sure everything you ever wanted would be in stock every time you wanted it, because thats how they make money. Ups on the other hand dont care when or in what condtion you get your order in. So to blame vendors for shipping problems is about like blaming the weather man for the weather. I have ordered many things from Midway and many of the other companies with having some problems and without having any. I do not beleive that anybody was to blame. I just think it is that great power that we never see called Murphy's Law. For some reason when it is the thing I want or need the most that law has something to do with me not getting it as expected. I dol however support any company that supports my hobbies at a decent price and better than average service, because these days better than average is better than 90% of the service we get. I will have to say I will keep ordering from Midway and the others just like always and take my chances.

i guess i should also mention that i am upset with midway that they use the usps. in my opinion that isnt very smart, especially when the package is a 450 piece of glass. i have not had good luck with the postal seveice. i have had a few packages messed up pretty good through out the years. not to mention they dont give you a tracking number and with an item such as a scope i would think they would care enoughf to know where your package is at all times. at least thats the way i think.
and again guys i were glasses my self mostly contacts but i do where glasses. i meant no harm to anyone on this site. i have just had bad luck lately and i hit a boiling point. i was sold a $700 rifle that had headspace issues the stock on my cz 527 broke the us mail tore up a package of brass that i had about a pound of tape on. i had to refund the mans money because when it arrived at his house there were 6 pieces of brass left out of 500. lets see what else my scope that was shipped on the 16th of this month is no where to be seen and i live 170 miles from where i ordered it. oh ya i forgot to mention that the trigger on that cz rifle, you know the one with a broken stock, the trigger failed on me the second time out with it when i had a coyote called in at about 60 yards. but that probablely wouldnt have mattered anyway because the barrel is so roughf on that rifle it is spinning the bullets apart before they get to the target anyway. not to mention the trouble i have had with midway two weeks ago when they sent me an order that was on backorder and that i had cancelled after i had bought semilar items from them because they were out of the item i wanted first (scope rings) so i sent them back with a letter asking just to give me credit, and guess what they have no record of that return! so i guess i just needed a vent and i did it where i thought i had friends. i guess i was wrong! sorry to all that i may have hurt with my outcasting behavior. truely sorry.

i did just receive a rifle that i bought from a buster a friend here on the threads, and it is an outstanding rifle! thanks again buster. lee

Point taken on the capitalization, should not have brought it up. I see too often here that people blame their English skills on the fact that "we are just a bunch of poor outdoorsmen anyway so it doesn't matter" but scream about Spanglish becoming a second language. While my spelling and punctuation is far from a goal at least I try and care. We don't as a whole seem to want to protect our language that much.

But back to the point.

The start of this thread was based on Midway sucks and Midway messes everything up. While that may or may not be true the fact that Midway shipped the item didn't come up until the very end. This is an issue with the shipper not with Midway and that does not change even if you have problems with Midway. If you have a problem with the shipper the company uses then request a different one. It may cost more due to freight contracts but that is the price you pay for getting what you want. This was a complete flame of the innocent party from the beginning. If Midway messed up then so be it but you can't just throw out a completely unsubstantiated claim around without getting called on it.


BTW - I AM DONE WITH THIS. THE POINT IS MADE AND I DON'T WANT THE NON-CAPITALIZATION POLICE COMING AFTER ME.

Never had a problem with Midway.

If you open a can of worms by attacking a major sponsor of the sport expect to have to eat that can of worms.

If I were you and were treated like this from so many on this forum I think I would leave this forum and go somewhere else.
 
Im with ya skeet! I quit ordering from them when they started their "fair and honest shipping" charges, which was around 20% on that particular order, and this was years before shipping skyrocketed!
