If you were buying a new 22-250? whats your vote

Well I don't currently need anymore .22-250's, I have a Remington 700 SPS stainless, and a Winchester M-70 Featherweight Classic in .22-250. I like both of them very much.
Now if I could get another, and money was no object, I'd have to go with a custom engraved Cooper sporter with high polished bluing, and beautiful full figured English walnut wood.

i have been trying to find a good deal on a heavy barrel 700 BDL from the 70's. While holding my breath i bought a Howa Ranchland. Got what i think was a good deal on an unfired one in a pawn shop. really light to carry and super tight groups for a cheap rifle with a pencil for a barrel. I will have a heavy BDL one day though.

I currently have one in a Tikka lite, a 788, an Icon, and a BDL varmint special. Tikka is by far the most accurate or at least the least finicky. If I were to get another it would probably be a Sako 75 or a fancy Cooper.

I have a Savage and a Remington model 700 VLS. Both guns shoot good. Have been looking at the Winchester m-70 featherweight with the wood stock. They are kind of pricey but I think they look real nice.

Either that or a Cooper Model 54 (repeater).
If $ is more of an issue, a C-Z 550 Kevlar; or Tikka Super Varmint.

Welcome to P.M. . What part of the state r u in?

I'm in N.P. Came over here from AOD. Had a chinook blow into the Interior today. If temps stay reasonable, I may try to go out this weekend and do some calling.

Since all I own are Savages I'd have to say Savage due to the inherant accuracy and even better w/aftermarket bbls.
I have spare barrels for mine so its easy to swap out even in the field (if you have already broke the nut loose at home the 1st time) if you would ever have to.

Well, if I were just going to pick a gun off the shelf and shoot the ammo that the gun shop had for it, Savage with accu-stock and accutrigger in any color you please...

Anybody else hearing that little voice in there head saying "go to the gun shop and have a look around"
"go to the gun shop and have a look around"
"go to the gun shop and have a look around"
$$$$$ new savage predator hunter max 1 in 22-250 will be in saturday $$$$$

I would get one of the old wood stocked Remington 700ADLs. I had one years ago before my house was broken into. It was one very accurate rifle and I never had the chance to load for it.

cooper mtv varminter or a kimber 84m varmint. I have the kimber in 22-250 and the cooper in 220swift. Both rifles are true one hole shooters. you get what ya pay for. Theres no substitute for high quality firearms with high quality wood. Plus they hold there resale value.

I built a 22-250, Rem 722 action, LVSF barrel and 700 ADL stock. I have a Stevens 200 22-250 w/[beeep] trigger.

If I were to buy a new one it would be the Rem Model 7 Predator they just feel right in my hands.

I have a Savage LRPV in 22-250 that I love to shoot Prairie Dogs with. Its the singleshot model with the right side bolt and left eject. With a 14 power Unertl on top it is a little on the heavy side but it reaks havoc in a dog town.

The early bird gets the worm but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.
