Maine Predator Hunters (night hunt cats and fox)

Has anyone heard from mainekiller???? I e-mailed him but I have not heard anything in response. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

mainekiller is probably sleep deprived; a new 7# bundle from the hospital will turn the most orderly household totally upside down! I remember well.

Dont I know that feeling,Thank God its all behind me now !!
the youngest just left the nest /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey Guys, I am back to work to get some rest!
I think I have 7 guys that have given me an address and name. I know that I can get at least 5 more names and addresses of guys in this area. I am not going to bring this up at the MTA Rondy so we need to come up with a plan to present to MDIF&W. We can also get the support of other groups before we present.

If we start a Association I think that would show some type of organization and we would get backing easier, rather than just a group of people trying to get a law changed /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif
just my thoughts

I'm in!

When are elections going to be held? or should I say who has the capability to provide a monthly, quarterly, semi, or Bi-annual meeting place.

A list of candidates, treasurer, chairmen ect: ect:

I' know the YOTER'S DEN would like to Design the Associations logo at least give their opinion to one and accept all others ideas and then put the finals up to a vote.

This may seem to be putting the cart ahead of the horse, but actually to receive recognition we need something for correspondance puposes.

anybody?

Vaportrail

Lets do it!!

Isn't there some formal paperwork that needs to be filed so we can become an assoc? I will find out about this and let you know. Also, do we want it to be MPHA (Maine Predator hunters Association)? I figure we could put out a quarterly news letter and have at least 2 meetings a year (fall and spring) but we could have 4 meetings a year and a hunt every winter. We need to come up with all of these details (logo, elections etc, etc) Keep the ideas coming.

What other New England States have an Assoc? and would it be possible to have a single Assoc for all New England States? Also, MPHA might be the letters for Minnisota and Maryland. Just thinking out loud. Also, I will need some serious help with this!! JHS

MePHA? that would set us apart from the other states
NEPHA-New England Predator Hunters Asso for all predator hunters in all the New England states

Not intending to draw members away from the MTA, but maybe the Maine Furtakers Assoc.? Just thowing out ideas, I think I like MPHA better (MFA sounds a little awkward).

OK folks,
Seems like we just kind of floated off,If we are going to get this going we need to have alot (20-30+?) of names and phone #'s,Ask your buddies if there interested, they might be!I just got off the phone w/mainekiller and he said he only had about 5 names we're going to need more people than 5.
I know that with alot of the hunting seasons that are going to be opening up plus trapping season coming alot of people are busy.We just need names and phone #'s for contacts so if we can get this going we can let people know about any meetings or gatherings. It would be a plus if they was a member of PM just so they could keep in contact but its not a req.
Killer said he was talking to a gentleman tomorrow about what paper work had to be filed and how,but we still need more people!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just got off the phone with the founder of WCF&WCA and we are getting together next week and he will help me fill out the paperwork needed to become a non profit, incorporated association. He knows all the hoops to jump through and says there are only a few fees that will total to less then $100 bucks. We need to create some by laws, come up with an official name etc, etc. I will post his by-laws and see if we like them. Also, I researched MPHA and can't find another state with these letters for a predator hunting club so maybe we will stick with that. I still need names, phone numbers and addresses of people interested and potential members.
Also, Ed was talking about their coyote hunt this year and it will be a contest that lasts all winter. 3 guns will be given out as prizes for largest male and female yote along with a wildcard prize. The entry will be $20 and there are 4 places to register coyotes. I will let you know more details in the future.
