Most Worthless Calibers

If I had the room and dollars, I would own one of everything, but that being said, I steer clear of any '06 based calibers. The 308 based rounds can do just as much and you can save nearly a pound of weight by going with the short receiver, that makes a big difference at the end of the day. I also like a 257 AI in a mauser action, the 7x57 was parent cartridge and I do like to stay with the same family of reciever to caliber, the 257 AI will match the 25-06 for speed and do it with almost 10% less powder.

Now, worthless? hmmm I see a place for them all, but maybe just on the wall!
 
Well I guess that's not so bad, the only complaint I have about the 257 weatherby is the price of brass, its cheaper to buy the spitzers already loaded.
 
17 mach2 is somewhere uselessly between a 22lr and 17hmr in purpose. For centerfire I can't see the purpose for anything bigger than a 7 mag in north america. Oh and I dislike my 7 mag. Thats just because it hurts.

I have friends that shoot elk with 375 H&H and friends that shoot em with .257's such as 25-06 and 257 Wby, so what ever tickles your fancy in that vast array between the two then I have hard time saying its worthless. I like 7mm's, I shoot a 7mm Rem mag. and the wife shoots a 7mm-08, like em both. I just wish I didn't have such a big ego when I bought that mag, I like the lightness of a short action and the recoil of those .308 family of calibers.

The 17hmr I have had for aobut 8 years has less than two boxes of shells through it. I cannot stand paying $10 for 50 when I can shoot 525 22lr for under $20. But is it worthless? Far from it, it does a number on treed coons! and it is a Rossi single shot I got for the boys so it is light and handy to carry, would I reccomend the hmr to anyone? Nope.
 
I wish they were 10 bucks. twice that here for the rem accutips that my savage likes. Ordered a few boxes online for 15. As long as I order more than 2 I save money.
 
+(how ever many) for the .25 ACP.

.17 mach 2... Love the .22lr and Love the .17hmr but the mach 2 is just useless.

Dies are available, not a problem. And there's no "fireforming" step, just find an accurate load then go shoot stuff.
