New Release from FOXPRO

the only thing I hate worse than wind is heat! My wife hates me in the summer!
I've yet to figure out why I'm still in Texas!

For the price and the extras that come with the "New" caller, I'm leaning towards it instead of an FX-5 ! Unless I can get a good buy on an FX-3 and upgrade it before the new one becomes available !

the only down side to the fx-5 that I can see is the blue back light. at night hunting fox in pa it lights ya up big time. if there was a way to tone it down would be nice. either that or change the blue out for red.

Do you own an FX5? You can change the blue backlight to night mode with the touch of two buttons and it goes from blue to dark with blue letters. Perfect for calling a night..

Good Luck.

P.S. ADC Coyote: Steve hasn't posted in this thread, his name is Mike, just like in his signature. He is far too nice of a guy to point that out himself. Plus he's a little bit better looking than his brother.

yes it will invert the screen from blue with black letters to black with blue letters but it still is too bright. a buddy picked me out 100yds away while I was hunting and changing sounds. if it was red I do not think the effect would be the same. and I was one of the first to get a fx-5 I only live about a hour and a half south of lewistown so I went up and picked it up. recorded a few sounds and by the time I was done the fx-5 conversion was done. I have nothing but good things to say about foxpro. they have allways helped me out and have mixed sounds for me. but the first time I was up they had not done the inversion feature for the remote. so the next time I was heading north I stopped in and got it fixed.

steve I do not think you are open on saturday so the next time i will be able to get up is october 26. I will be heading north for a hunt.

I have the foxpro normally on a homade sling and I allready know how to use the remote. plus the fetures such as the presets recall and timer is not on the main unit. plus I cannot remember 150 sounds in my head.
