Kam582 the wtc works, it's that simple. Yes it has a name that now stands for cheap junk, but it works well. I ordered another one yesturday, and no matter what any of our scope snobs say it is the best glass you can buy for $110, ... period. It's only fault i can find is that it's to powerfull for up close hunting that a lot of us do, but is great for target work or long range hunting.
As for the predator quest, i can't answer ...yet. One of my wtc's did go south and as much as i want it fixed rather than replaced, it may be replaced by a predator quest, (my choice just to see how bad it is) so after three calls to very polite simmons reps who have offered to replace it with any of the bushnell family, (of equal value) i have decided to send it in.
I guess we will see what happens, if it's junk i will send it back and get something else. Two points were made very clear by the simmons reps, the first is that the wtc is the property of midway and not simmons, however they will repair them because their name is still on them. the other point is that they know the simmons name is trash and they are working on bringing it back up to a good product and that it's going to take a long time to do it.
Now on to hunting programs and sponsers, we have been down this road before. I'm an old s.o.b. and i have watched tv since the early 50's, and never have i thought that tv was made for me.
It's real simple, tv was created to sell products nothing more nothing less. We as Americans have been programed to buy what we see on tv or radio or any other media since the moment we were born. The bottom line is simple as well, you have a computer ... use it to check on the product you want before you buy it. All companies that want to stay in business will take back a bad product and either refund your money or replace the product.
Ok, enough ranting for me. Heres my last thought, want to see what does and doesn't work for hunting? turn off the tv, turn off the computer and go outside and hunt. blue
