Where to go to view the ultimate walking coyote sniping rifle?

Your best bet with an off the shelf rifle would probably a Browning [beeep]'s Canyon in 6mm Creedmoor. The Bergara B14 HMR in 6.5 would also be a very good choice especially for the budget minded and will give you a lot of options that you listed although its a bit heavy with a larger scope. Topped with a 3-15x44 Vortex Viper Gen II, its right around 12 lbs give or take a little. The Ruger precisions are far too heavy and imbalanced. The Savage model 10 FCPs are a good option as well but not as long of a barrel. It seems that if you want all those things you listed, there is going to be a trade off. Whether that be cost, or a few specs that you would like to have. In the end, money and time will get you what you want.

Mossberg MVP Predator .223 w/ 18 1/2” barrel. Doesn’t get anymore compact than that! And, she’s a shooter!

Edit: I went back to the OP’s original post and saw he is looking to build, so the MVP may not be of interest to him. But like others have stated, you really don’t ‘have’ to have a custom build to shoot good groups. Ya just need the right rifle AND the right ammo. At least, that is my experience.

Let me know if you need help. I post from my phone all of the time. Refer to my post in the picture for instructions.

Read th e open again. If this is no budget build then there should be plenty of rifles around to.check out. Check out what is on th e benches of th e local ranges.

I’ll do a thread on it sometime. It’s a 22x47 built by Jon Beanland. I’ve got some better pics of it, but I’ll wait until after a contest or something so there’s plenty of dead critters to keep it company. Shot a few farmland coyotes with it just to check bullet performance, seems to smoke em like no other...

Oh yeah, I have done that. At least at the club where Im a member at. Very few dedicated coyote slayers at the range. The wildest thing i have seen so far is a switch barrel savage. No customs, or very, very few. Haven't seen one Manner's or McMillian.
Very slim pickings to say the least. Mostly deer hunters and plinkers. I have seen & shot a 470 Nitro, a custom 220 Swift bench gun, but they have all been very few and far, far between. Nothing close to what Im thinking of.

We have 550 members in our club. Most are rifle shooters with the skeet folks making up the rest. There are more high end shotguns than high end rifles. Most rifle shooters seem to lean toward average run of the mill off the shelf rifles. There are a few customs but not enough to let a person make any kind of a decision towards what to buy. Wanamacher gun show that comes to Tulsa is probably the best place to actually see a lot of custom rifles. I usually just get ideas from the folks here on PM or accurate shooter. Its enough to keep me broke.

I haven’t shot it past 1135 yards so I can’t say anything about LR sniping.
It weighs 8 pounds and 1 ounce without the scope and bipod.

Pure bad a$$ness right there fw! You are more knowledgeable than most when it comes to long range shooting.

Speaking of which, what happened to that one guy? I’ve heard nothing but crickets since you’ve asked him to present some facts. lol

Thanks but I can’t take any credit. GA Precision makes some nice rifles.

I don’t know.
The military analysis data must be a dang wealth of information.
We could all benefit from it.

243kimber,
I'm sorry you don't live closer to me. I would let you handle some of my rifles to see what you might like. That is how I learned as well as a few other guys on here.

I think it’s the slickest action I’ve ever owned.
George and the boys did some kinda magic on it.
