WW-VI is happening!

The BUMPER DUMPER!/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Mines is about half done I will post a picture of the final product. Wouldn't you know it I get an idea in my head then actually have to do something this week. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

Sorry you're not going to make it to WW-VI. It sounds like it will be almost as good as the "good ol' days".

This is shaping up very nicely. We have a "tentative" eleven hoping to get a kitchen pass for the weekend. There may be some last minute cancellations, but 8-10 is traditionally what has showed up at past WW's.

This is going to be a fun get together. Since it's close enough to Casper, we could hit a BBQ house or such for Sat nite group dinner. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Sure we shouldn't consider hiring a caterer that has a smoker? They could smoke our quarry to our satisfaction.

We would want to be sure that we have removed all lead fragments of course. Or as they say in some circles, we would want to "get the lead out"!

This would please the ARA's to some extent because we would not be leaving all those dead carcasses around for consumption by unsuspecting raptors, coyotes and badgers.

The added benefit, it may cost less than a dinner in town.

Now I would love to join in, but I have sworn off meat for the month of June....a religious thing.

If we make every shot a "neck shot", then the possibility of any fragmentation contamination is greatly reduced. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Of course, then so are the aerial displays. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Hey Tom, I finally got the 550 set up to load Hornets! Had the conversion kit, tool head, etc. for two years now. Since I've been falling behind I had to do something to get back on track.

Ran out of 45 gr. Remingtons (only had 200) and everybody is back ordered. Got 1000 46 gr. Winchesters coming. After I placed the order, I found a box of 1000 Winchesters on the shelf so we're good to go. We've had good results with both bullets in your 77.

We'll be ready for WW-X!

Oh god... good thing you found some! Tom wouldn't know how to act if you gave him a "tipped" bullet. You would ruin his trip!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Jim, Have you ever had a LEE Pro 1000 progressive? I have on and have never used it I have looked for directions but they are pretty vauge. With Alicia shooting the AR now. I might need to go to mass produced over a single stage. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Better yet, teach Alicia how to reload on the single stage which might teach her some better trigger finger control! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Hey GDB, Tom's Ruger 77 won't shoot the "expensive" bullets. We've tried SIE 40's, V-Max 35's, Speer TNT 33's, Calhoon 30's, etc, etc and the Winchester and Remington HP's continually shoot better. After three years whenever I try something new he gets pi$$ed so I stay with the old standard.

Never had a Lee. My Dillon 550 is 18 years old and still runs perfectly.

Bad move. Getting GF, wife or kids shooting the AR.

Hey guys, Tom has a special arrangement with HOOTERS so don't give up too quickly. Look at your schedules and establish your priorities accordingly.

On a windless day, I can cover a 5-shot pattern with a quarter at 100 yds. That's a load I can depend on.
Like they say, "If it ain't broke,......." /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

how much ammo you turkeys bringing to the shoot?

I got about 200-300 rounds already loaded, but figured I'll need to get cranking on the 550 here.

For the curious, I use a 223 with 50gr noslers.

This turkey is bringing about 900 rounds and 2 rifles, if I can get the next rifle here in time and a load developed for it, that number will increase to about 1300.

It's all arithmetic. I bring 300 rds. per rifle so it all depends on how many rifles get stuffed into the truck. Two weeks ago I took along seven.

If I bring 4 guns and only shoot 600 this weekend I will bring 1292 rounds. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

Anyone heading up on the Friday evening of the weekend?

I have a project meeting that Friday that hopefully can happen in the morning in Ft Collins. If so I'll pull out from there at noon.

I was going to ask the same question, Alice and I are thinking about heading out of GJ thursday night, try to get to craig at least. Then finish the trip up to the Casper "area" on friday morning, getting there around noon or so.

Anyone else going to be early into Casper?

WyoSongDog
How many more places are there to shoot? Did you talk to any of the ranchers about camping spots? I think we decided to bring the camper, thats where all the funs going to be anyways.
