Had a solid buddy from the Marshall/Milroy area of Minnesota when serving in the Navy. We lost touch over the years. I had a standing invitation to visit in my younger days and wish I could have made it happen. He told me you guys had some big deer.

Need a story behind that pic

My oldest son, three other guys and I are on a Duck/Goose/ lease that fronts on Galveston Bay. The ranch gets +/- 26 Aligator tags each year. I'd never taken a gator before, so I figured what the hey.
The ranch covers about 25,000 acres. They set out baited hooks and have cellular game cameras to monitor when the gators take the bait. That morning we had duck hunted earlier and then they let us know that they had 4 gators on the line. My Grandson's was10'8', my oldest's best friend Beau's son got one that was 11' I wanted the boys to get the biggest gator.

This is more of a shoot than a hunt. I get a bigger kick out of being with my son and grandson than anything else

Here is a pix of the four with our gators.

I was sitting in the corner of an outer fence one morning watching a couple of crossings when this buck walk across the two track into a thicket about 150 yards away. Decided to see if I could find him in the heavy brush. He entered adjacent to a Spanish dagger
so I knew exactly where to start. Found the buck standing like a statue no more than 10 ft from the camera. He was so confident that he was unseen that he did not bolt when I turned and walked away.

This pair of bucks obviously sharing some of the same genes were spotted about 5 miles apart....note double throat patch and white patch on forehead (barely visible on larger buck).

These two bucks engaged in an argument over a doe.

The winner chased the poor doe which sought refuge in a small lake

and was so intent upon the doe that he didn't even notice the ranch truck passing by in the background.

Somehow I stumbled across this today

First coyote. My dad Andy, was more excited than I’d ever seen him, and ever seen him since. Never forget it.

Forgive me, I can see the buttons and the screen, all of it, on that call. But I can’t for the life of me think of the model.
