Have spent a lot of days in S TX brush and have never seen this mushroom before.....anyone know what it is?

Also, taking hunting law advice from random idiots on forums is just slightly less stupid than taking mushroom identification from random idiots on forums.
I am pretty hip to the mushroom thing though, if i do say so myself
LOL You sound just like the person I'm looking for. Not looking for advice as to edibility, (don't care much for mushrooms anyway :ROFLMAO: ) just wondering if anyone has ever seen anything like these mushrooms. Ran across them about 4-5 years ago and have never seen anything like them in the 20 years hunting this particular ranch. So far no one else seems to have seen them either. Only know one person who is an avid mushroom hunter (from MO) and he has never run across anything like these.

Texas mushrooms are going to be different than what we have around here, but some sort of deliquescing mushroom. If i saw it in washington id say coprinus. Either way, a wee bit past its prime
