OK Lets say your guns are banned!

I could have came across as a "keyboard commando" too.That was'nt what I was trying to do at all.I dont need people to think Im tough or anything like that because I know how I am and thats all that matters.I couldnt care less of what anyone thinks of me regardless of whether they have met me or not.
I do take pride in being someone who does'nt just talk trash to hear himself talk.If I say somethin I aint just kiddin around.Im the most likable person anyone could ever meet but I aint got a problem fightin for what I beleive in or somethin I love.
I just wanted to make it clear that I was'nt trying to be an internet tough guy.

I think there are many avenues to exhaust before the thought of any form of armed resistance would be considered as an option. How the government went about enforcing any oppressive firearm laws would largely determine what kind of response will be seen. Everyone has their own priorities that will determine how they react to saaay...confiscation. Most....even the ones swearing "from my cold dead hands", will probably end up being very polite when the battering ram comes through the front door and they see armored vehicles parked out front. That is not the time to fight. It would be hopeless, senseless and selfish to jeopardize the safety of family member if you have them.

We will all see the writing on the wall long before it came down to dealing with little fish like us. We would have plenty of time to make preparations of getting our house in order. I'm not advocating anything illegal but I'm just saying I will not hand anything over. Whether I sell, destroy, or make the guns in question disappear, it will be on my terms just like when I legally bought them. I won't put my family in jeopardy over firearms but I won't be made into a doormat because some pencil pusher made a bad decision. A head on confrontation with the opposing force isn't the only option. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Everyone knows that brave soldiers have fought and died for our rights. There is no doubt about that. But almost all that fighting was on foreign soil, and against foreign combatants. Not fellow Americans.

We basically fought 2 wars within our country. One was a genocide against the native Indian. And one was the Civil War. And these were the 2 largest mistakes that people in this country ever made(I consider the Revolutionary war as a war against a foreign enemy on domestic ground). There will always have to be a better way to solve our differences when it is American against American!!

And do not forget one thing guys. They did win the election!! I do not like it, but they did win. But you are saying that since you do not agree with the outcome that the vote did not count?? Tom.



So, in your opinion, because they garnered 51% of the popular vote, that gives them the right to confiscate our weapons?

Let's have a "vote" then on the Second Amendment, and keep
ACORN out of it, make it legal like instead of the fraud we saw last time.

I have several friends that are LEO's, and a family full of active Army and National Guard. Not surprisingly, none of them are satisfied with the bonefiedes of the CIC, and have expressed to me that they would not obey any order to disarm the general population, which after all, is the employer of the Federal Government.

Because they "won" does that give them the right to usurp common sense and adherence to the Constitution!

I suggest you spend some time with the framers of the Constitution, those who agreed that loss of lands, goods and life was preferable to a yoke of tyranny. I suggest the same discussions were had then that we are having now, what if's that involved life and liberty. I recommend Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, Washington, and Henry as a start to American History 101, seems that the public education system fostered by the likes of our current would be rulers have expunged those writings and thoughts from the public knowledge base.

If some of you are questioning me if I would fight the police or military over them taking my guns, well the answer is NO! I am not stupid! NOW, would I go after those who SENT the police or military to take my guns, well then that would be an entirely different answer!

Yea right, remember Bush was an illegitimate president for 8 years, we won by less than 300 votes. You didnt see the liberals sitting down and saying....well he won............. so lets play patty cakes with him.

Just because someone wins an election doesnt mean you have to fall in line.

Since I hope your suposition doesn't happen, but say it does. You'd think the powers that be would start with the people currently in violation of any and all gun posetion laws. ie gangs, inner city thugs, drug cartels from south of the border not legally here to begin with, mafia families and so on.
Of course that would make to much sense since they, the criminals, are not a threat to what the lawmakers consider their way of life.(not the American way of life but that of a politation).
They might even enlist the known criminals help to disarm the law abiding by taking the criminals guns and offering amnisty to those who would steal from those who have stashed what would then be illegal weapons.
Just think, no LEO or real upstanding American would be in danger of harm from another upstanding American during the exchange or confiscation ordeal, since all they have to do is confiscate from the criminal element after they have stolen from the law abiding element. They can be as ruthless with the bad guys as needed, since they train for those encounters continously. We would cheer the break ins and even death of the bad guy, and they (confiscaters) would not hear much negitave press for their actions.
Bad guys can and probably would do a better job of thinning the contraband weapons, since if one were stolen from a law abiding person who wasn't legally in posetion of said contraband weapon, that person probably wouldn't file a stolen report now would he????
By the same token, if the good guy used the contraban weapon to protect his/her property, it'd be a dead (no pun intended) giveaway as to his posetion of an illegal weapon making removing it from circulation easier!!

A few of you guys are attacking my comments. However I asked a direct question in my comments that no one has answered. And that is:

Are you willing to shoot a police officer who comes to your front door to confiscate your 30-06?? Because when you say "from my cold dead hands" that is what you are saying. Personally I am not willing to shoot an officer.

That is the main point of my argument. I am not rolling over and walking away. And I am actually willing to fight. However I am an old man and have nothing to loose.

I am only trying to make a point about the constitution. I definitely was not attacking it, or trying to circumvent it. The way it is being done by many today. Tom.

You'd think that with the economy in the shape it is now that he would be trying to worry about how to fix that little problem instead of worrying about how he's going to take away the law abiding citizens guns and such.
He thinks he can just fix the world and everyone will get along and be rich and not get killed or anything like that.I think he smoked a little too much dope in highschool or he got dropped on his head when he was little one too many times.He would have better luck trying to fix the economy than he would trying to take away our guns to be honest with you.So I think it would be a wise decision to take baby steps at making the world "better" intead of biting off more than he can chew all at once.

I heard on one of the crime shows that i was watching drinking and driving accidents kill more people then all other act of crimes combind. Wich makes since after i thought about it. Your all ways hearing all most every night a drunk drive killed or has killed one or several people.

I will have to agree to disagree with a few of you on this matter... IMHO I see a similarity to what happened in Russia , to what the puppets{of both parties} are doing here in the USA today.It is the very beginning of the same, Putting the country in such outrageous debt,out sourcing jobs,high unemployment,dividing us spiritually,morally,racially,talks of stricter gun laws on honest tax-paying citizens.What possible good would it do to give up one single GOD givin` right??? Do some research,see what became of the people(`s) who did nothing in the past. Shame on you!
