What are your gas prices?

This is the STAB-IN-THE-BACK of all time:

BOTH of our busiest stations have all of a sudden "run out" of Regular. Premium is all the "have" (yeah...RIGHT!) and it is $3.15.

They all ought to be SHOT. Including the companies.

Excuse me....I am kinda stupid I guess.....but how did the hurricane cause the fuel that was ALREADY in the tanks at the stations to go up in price????

And I saw a news broadcast Monday that said the stations only make a couple of cents on the gallon. I'm sorry, but I ain't buying it.

I don't know what the prices are here today, but compared with the rate of inflation over the past 25 years it is still lagging behind. We just took it for granted when we had it cheap.

Our regular gas today is $3.00. I'm sitting here bummed out because I'm not sure how I'm going to afford to come to Texas!!

Small town USA,Frost,Mn is $2.68 and has been for three days.I 'm sure it won't last long.

I actually feel good about being left in the dust for once
 
Who cares if we're lagging behind the inflationary curve? I mean, I can appreciate the postive outlook but I don't think you're gonna find may people who are gonna change their minds when they hear anybody say that!

The price of gas *in the tanks* shouldn't go up because the price of oil per barrel does. When I quote a job, I don't raise the price of the stone I just bought for a customer because of a sudden shortage of flagstone in our area!

I think-along with many others-that this is an engineered problem very similar to the crunch we had in the '70's.. Oh, and our gas is around $2.7x at various places. Some places have floated $3.00 just to see if they could get it!
 
Well it was 2.47 on Monday and today it is 2.83
I guess I shouldn't gripe with the hurricane and all at least I can still find my truck and my house is still standing.

I sure hope these prices are only temporary.

I'm not sure precisely,but I beleive 1 US gallon=3.8 litres.SO,if my math is right,3.8x1.29=$4.90/USgal!!!!!!!!

This is an absolute outrage!I don't know what's gonna happen.The economy will come to a standstill cuz nobodys gonna be able to afford to leave their yard!OUTRAGEOUS!!!!
 
Last night I topped off wat $2.63

This morning Shell was $2.79 and Speedway was $3.19.

This afternoon Shell (and most other staions) was $2.99 and Speedway and Crystal Flash were still $3.19.
 
The only thing positive on this post is BigMo's photo of that georgeous coyote. Gas went from $2.69 yesterday to $2.82 today. If the Gulf area produces 10% of our oil why doesn't the increases just up 10%? I think there is something sinister about this whole affair.

thinking about loadin' tools and working for myself in the hurricane thrashed south for the winter= priceless!

This problem is one of few problems that can be delt with by, not doing anything! Anything, is not buying their gas and not driving. They say boycotts no longer work /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

I really think that if we all stopped driving except to go to straight to work and no where else for a couple of weeks the price would drop like a rock. Somebody ought to publish a list of all the board of directors of all the oil companies so everyone would know who is behind this ridiculous mess. Thats half the problem, Congress is the other. They are the ones responsible for cowing down to the greenies and have curtailed oil exploration here at home. Vote'em out, ALL of them!
 
Someone said that the price of the gas in the stations tanks does not have to go up just because the spot price rises. That is not true because the station has to make enough money on what they are selling to replace it with the higher priced gas.

If you think this is making the oil companies rich, buy oil stocks, they are all publicly traded companies!!!!

I own stock in 2 oil companies and they both are trading at a lower price today than 6 weeks ago. The spot price of gas does not translate into instant profits for the oil companies.

This morning on the news they said the gas staion next to the TV staion had raised their price to $3.15. A friend called me up and said it was still $2.71 At the USA station. I hotfooted it down there and filled up the truck and three cans. The staion across the street changed thier price while I was filling to $2.79. The next one down the street was $2.94 and another one was $3.19. Crazy, they are stealling our money! Not the stations, the suppliers.
