What are your gas prices?

$3.49 at Mr. Fuel, Pilot and Flying J this afternoon at about 1530. Costco is reportedly ran out of gas. I topped off at Krogers with my plus card for $3.09 and still have some reserve gas in the garage.

223s, my brother, mentioned to me that I may want to invest in a couple locking gas caps. I'm thinking that makes a lot of 'cents' right now. It won't be long before people are running through neighborhoods stealing gas.

Cheers!

I never said that there was "no money" in selling gas, but if you came to Midland, Dallas or Houston and looked at some of these oil exec.'s houses, it would make your service station owner look like a middle class citizen.

Perception is huge in this business. The price will continue to rise until the Middle East does something which is unlikely since they are running pretty much at full capacity, or until some order is restored in the Gulf which will take some time. Even after that it still won't be pretty, but it will be better than what we're seeing now. Oh yeah....opening up Alaska and the coast of California could do some good, but I don't see that happening too soon since the libs have a fit at the mention of it.

The only REAL answer to lowering oil prices is a legitimate form of alternative energy which would lessen the demand of fossil fuels. Why not complain about the lack of alternative energy sources or the lack of research to find an alternative source? Without alternative energy can you imagine the price of oil in 15-20 years when the reserves have been drastically depleted from what it is today? Maybe then it will actually mirror the rate of inflation. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Take care, fellas. I'm going to go figure out a way to weld my killin' chair up to the back of a gas-sipping Geo Metro. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would disagree that we won't see under $2.00 again. When you look at the situation in the early 80's (by the way I was only 9, but that is a different story) and take into consideration the price with inflation, the price would have been $3.11. When I started drive, gas was $0.89, so it did go up and it did go down. It probably will only be $1.99 though.

On last night's local news.........

Most of the stations here have leveled off @ $2.99 a gallon. BUT....the local news found a station here that was $5.49 a gallon?!?!?!?! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

When they interviewed the owner (NOT the manager), his excuse was that he didn't speak good English, and had misunderstood. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif He said that he would correct the problem immediately. The interviewer told him that he comprehended the fact that this guy couldn't speak good English, but how in the world did he manage his business on a daily basis IF HE COULDN'T UNDERSTAND AND COMPREHEND NUMBERS???????? The man responded (and I quote): "No more talk now. I fix problem soon". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Think this is a GOUGE ???????? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

Oh, by the way.......this guy's last name was PATEL. Just another example of how America is catering to everyone except Americans. Wonder why I can't get one of those 2% loans to buy a gas station like he did?????? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif

right know in southcentral pa it is 3.19 supposed to go up another .50 cents by tuesday next week. just think monday it was at 2.26 a gallon allmost a dollar raise in 5 days. totally ridiculous.

I saw 3.28 here in KS on I70 today.
If you look at graphs of crude oil prices with inflation frigured in the gas prices in the early 90s were actually higher than today.

hey hope in sight maybe. Was 3.49 this morning when I went to work and now it is back down to 2.99 at 7 different stations on the way home.

$3.10 here averaging .15 cents a day.
I was told by a gas buyer today this is going to peak within the next 24 to 48 hours and slowly drop back.
Let's hope so.

$1.40/lt. this morn!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gifThats over $6.00/gal CDN,or close to $5 USD/gal!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif

I say we start charging them OPEC nations $70/barrel for Saskatchewan wheat,$70/foot for lumber and $70/barrel for fresh water!!

"Hello Mr. A-rab.Can you say "TRADE SANCTIONS"?Yeah, that's a better plan.Sell the greedy SOB's NOTHING!!

Let'em eat sand, live in sandcastles, and drink their precious oil for awhile! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

+1 I've been an advocate of $50/bushel weat for years. Trade sanctions are even better.

It's never gonna drop back enough! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gifIn the spring,we were paying between 80-90 cents/lt. When it hit $1/lt everybody went nuts!It slowly crept up to 1.05,1.10 the last few weeks, and now skyrocketed to 1.40.Sure it'll drop back....to $1.15 or somethin' and everybody'l think there getting a great deal.Yeah, great %*#*'n deal. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif

I realise the world runs on oil,and the world price/barrel is the world price. But for chrissakes,we have enough oil and natural gas reserves in Alberta and offshore to meet Canada's needs for centuries! When are we gonna start looking after our own? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gifWe have more than enough natural resources and agriculture to be totally self-sufficient and over half of the world's fresh water.I say shut 'er down!Nothin in-Nothin out. We'll do just fine.We don't need their oil as much as they need our EVERYTHING else.

Now who wants to trade?

All this complaining about gas prices. You guys just need to shop around. Cheaper gas is out there if you just look for it. Here's some prices (per gal.) as of yesterday:

Kuwait City, Kuwait $0.51
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia $0.62
Manama, Bahrain $0.82
Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. $0.85

These 4 must have found a cheaper way to refine it than we do in the U.S. I guess. Weren't we over in the Persian Gulf a while back saving these ragheads from the bad guys? Too bad they don't remember. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

NASA,

You need to shop around more. I found one we can actually drive to.

Venezuela is only $0.12 a gallon. I say that it the ticket.

My point exactly!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gifIf they can sell it for that, then why in hell is it $5/gal in Alberta? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Gas prices around here are anywhere between $2.71-$3.10 a gallon........

Here in Florida, they will put the station owner in jail if they are found Trying to Ripp-off the Public.........and/or a 5,000 fine for each gallon they sell (over-Priced).

After (Hurracane Andrew) Events.....when they were getting $8.00 for a gallon of gas and $4.00 for a bag of ice......the state promised it would never happen again and so far it hasaent..............

Barrel of oil dropped $1.00 this morning, hope it keeps going down... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Whats really stupid,

We sell our Oil from the USA, to other countrys and We buy theres at a Higher price for refineing, and then screw-us for the price of it...........They call it Equal Trading /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Why dont we just start importing the refined fuel? thats only $6.60 a barrel

I know why, it probably does not have all the additives that we require. They have always said, if they didnt have to put in all the additives and make so many different blends of fuel, it wouldnt cost so much.

western colorado update, prem unleaded 3.39 gal and it does pay to shop around.
