Noone is jealous of anyone, as far as I know. Heck, there is nothing to be jealous or uptight about. Duane and I have talked on the phone a few times in the past. We don't see 100% eye to eye on how we each use dogs, but otherwise all is good as far as I know. We train and expect different things from dogs...no big deal. I can give a rats butt how someone else uses their dogs and I'd expect the same.

This is a post and video clip on how I use MY dog to stop crippled coyotes on MY stands. Nothing more...nothing less.

I'm jealous your right... Remember When he came to Texas and he "averaged calling 45 animles a night" for three or four nights....that was with me don't tell me I'm Jealous. Just because you hunted with him and called a few coyotes doesn't make me one bit Jealous.
 
Wow!! All I can say is I trust Tony's judgement!

Perhaps next time Tony, you should extend an olive branch... over the coyotes head.

with all that said i think we should let this thread pass on by, everyone here has expressed thier opinions and statements towards the subject at hand! the only thing i got out of all the comments and statements is none other than a good old fashioned "agree to disagree" situation. lets let this thread fall to the ages and move on! no dis respect towards anyone in particular but i do believe this dogs ran its last race.

Hmmm...there's an interesting thought. I've seen some ancient olive trees in Spain being mowed down for development. I've got to believe 600yr old olive wood would make a decent club?
 
I suppose my blood runs a little colder than some on this site. That happens when you have seen coyotes ruthlessly kill livestock and wild animals first hand. Nothing like seeing the nose and rear end eaten out of a lamb or calf while it's still alive. Therefore all I saw was a coyote called in, shot, and then eventually killed...meaning it will no longer be killing live stock or other wild animals. It didn't get away and likely ended up on the skinning pole. It's all good. Nice hit Tony!

I dont think its jealously at all. Based on Duane's comment about manners, it is just a retaliation from an earlier post.

As I said before ,Tony , you did what needed to be done as fast as possible and Gobbler, we all have made a poor shot,not on purpose, but it happens, so we learn something from the experience, become a better hunter and move on..

Lets go get some more yotes..
 
I don't see a whole lot of difference between this and a bird retriever. I've seen plenty of retreived doves, quail and ducks get the coup-de-grace with a stick. Maybe y'all objectors would have been happier if Tony had wrung the 'yotes neck instead?!? Personally, I prefer as few holes in my pelts as possible, but maybe "extra ventilated" fur is coming into fashion.

Great job Gunner. I hope you got an extra sausage patty the next morning for that.

. When I hit a coyote bad I have to enter "Rambo Mode" which involves me grabbing the shotgun and running like the dickens after the coyotes.. On the bright side I am in very good shape. haha

I'm new to these forums and coyote hunting, but not to hunting in general.

As a tender-hearted, God-fearing woman, all I can say is: Way to go Gunner, and Tony!

I think the matter was very humanely and professionally handled. Thanks for posting the video.
 
Wow, Gunner didn't back down at all and stayed on him. The embeded video is small, I Perfer a link to a youtube video, so I have to option the view it full screen. That was a big stick Tony, woulda been funny seeing you chasing this coyote around a little with that stick, LMAO.
